Heather Lovell is Lecturer in the School of Geosciences and a member of the Institute for the Study of Science, Technology and Innovation at the University of Edinburgh, with over ten years research into social science aspects of climate change and housing at Oxford University, Sydney's University of Technology, and in the UK Parliament. She has studied the role of pioneering low energy or `zero carbon' housing in catalysing policy change in the UK); her interdisciplinary papers draw on theories about sociotechnical change and discourse to examine domestic energy policy and technology changes. She is Co-PI on Heat and the City (see above), with responsibility for householder survey and analysis.
